We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support the migration of enterprise database environments from on-premises to cloud infrastructure. This role will be part of a high-availability, security-focused team working on large-scale transformation initiatives.
Security Clearance Required: NATO Secret or equivalent - This is mandatory
Key responsibilities
Lead and support database migrations from on-premise to cloud environments (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
Maintain advanced database architectures with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.
Develop and implement automation tools for database administration (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
Create and maintain dynamic reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and Grafana.
Perform routine installation, configuration, and backups of database systems across on-premise and cloud environments.
Design standard operating procedures and automation policies for managing database environments.
Monitor and manage software lifecycle and roadmap of database platforms.
Contribute to CI/CD integration and ensure secure, efficient, and scalable database deployment.
Provide basic support for additional technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Required skills and experience
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (On-Prem and cloud).
Solid background in cloud database solutions, preferably with Azure.
Strong expertise in database security, backup and recovery strategies, and automation.
Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations, including server clustering and virtualized infrastructures.
Proficient in automation scripting and tools for infrastructure management.
Ability to work independently within a high-demand, time-sensitive environment.
