By combining insurance products with technology, prevention tools and incident response services, this company supports SMEs before, during and after cyber incidents — a rapidly expanding and high-impact space.
To support their continued growth in Belgium, they are looking for a Legal & Claims Specialist to take ownership of legal and claims topics on the Belgian market.
Your role
You will be the key point of contact for legal and claims-related matters, with a broad, hands-on scope and real ownership from day one.
* Draft, review and adapt insurance policies (cyber, fraud, liability, etc.)
* Manage claims end-to-end (cyber incidents, fraud, etc.)
* Apply and interpret Belgian insurance law in operational contexts
* Prepare reporting for insurance partners and carriers
* Collaborate with product and tech teams on contracts and documentation
* Contribute to building processes in a growing and evolving environment
You will report directly to the Dutch-speaking Country Manager.
Your profile
This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine legal expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
* Background in law (Master’s degree is a strong plus)
* Experience in insurance (claims, legal, underwriting or similar)
* Solid knowledge of Belgian insurance law
* Experience drafting insurance policies
* Hands-on, autonomous and comfortable taking ownership
* Experience in smaller or entrepreneurial environments (insurer, MGA, broker, insurtech) is a plus
* Interest in cyber, fraud or digital risk is a strong asset
Languages
* Dutch: native level is an absolute must
* English: professional fluency
* French: nice to have
