Are you a talented and enthusiastic Senior Electrical Engineer?
In the coming weeks, as industry begins to ramp-up again, we will need an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team to support upcoming projects based at our Antwerp or Brussels office.
Responsibilities
1. Lead various projects from an electrical perspective and be part of a multidiscipline team.
2. Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions.
3. Provide support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.
4. Assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner.
5. Mentor electrical engineering staff at junior and intermediate levels, if required.
6. Contribute to improving departmental processes and ways of working.
7. Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews.
8. Have extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel.
9. Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings.
10. Direct and/or participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations.
Qualifications
11. Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
12. Minimal 10 years' experience in industrial engineering design
13. Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This include (but is not limited to) MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems
14. Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices
15. Commercially aware and have ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients
16. Commercially aware on project execution, control of budgets, man-hours and change control
17. Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents
18. Have a strong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilising proprietary modelling software (Caneco)
19. Professional approach and demeanour. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business
20. Good knowledge of the Belgium regulations is required
21. Good command of Dutch or French and English is required
