The role will involve working closely with EU institutions such as DG SANTE, HaDEA, EFSA and DG AGRI to support research, project implementation and business development. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liConduct EU‑level research, evaluation and analytical projects using qualitative and quantitative methods. /li liSupport project delivery on time and within budget, overseeing junior team members and collaborating with project management teams. /li liLead or contribute to report writing, presentations and briefings for EU institutions and agencies. /li liContribute to business development, including planning capture activities and leading or supporting proposal development for EU food, plant, animal welfare and One Health policy fields. /li liLead or substantially contribute to proposals across research, evaluation, impact assessment and implementation services. /li liStay up to date with EU food, agriculture, animal welfare and plant health policy developments and anticipate future support needs. /li liExpand the network of partners, thematic experts and wider connections to win and deliver new assignments. /li liBuild and manage day‑to‑day relationships with EU institutions, escalating issues as needed. /li liContribute to team development, including informal mentoring and support to junior colleagues. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liA Master’s degree in public policy, agricultural or food policy, veterinary or life sciences, public health, economics or a closely related discipline. /li liAround 5‑7 years of professional experience working on EU policies and programmes, ideally in food safety, nutrition, agriculture, animal welfare, plant health or related fields. /li liDemonstrable experience delivering EU‑funded service contract research, evaluation or implementation projects, preferably for European Commission DGs or EU agencies; and a network of experts and stakeholders in these policy fields. /li liStrong qualitative and/or quantitative analytical skills applied in multi‑country or comparative studies. /li liExcellent writing and editing skills for clear, high‑quality reports for EU clients. /li liExperience in a consultancy or advisory environment and proposal development is desirable. /li liSolid understanding of EU institutions, policymaking processes and funding mechanisms, including framework contracts. /li liStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. /li liExcellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional EU languages is an asset. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liWork on high‑impact EU policies at the intersection of food, health, agriculture and sustainability. /li liEngage directly with leading EU institutions and agencies. /li liBe part of a collaborative, international and intellectually stimulating working environment. /li liBenefit from professional growth opportunities, increased responsibility and leadership development. /li liContribute to building and shaping ICF’s work in a growing EU policy area. /li /ul h3Location Sponsorship (Belgium) /h3 pThis role is based in Belgium.
