About the Role
A leading biotech company in Brussels is looking for an experienced Freelance Category Manager to support its R&D procurement function. You'll lead strategic sourcing initiatives for outsourced research services, ensuring supplier excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies for R&D categories (e.g., CROs, lab services, clinical supplies).
* Lead RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract finalization.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across R&D, Legal, Finance, and Quality.
* Ensure supplier compliance with GxP and other regulatory frameworks.
* Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Deliver cost savings and value creation aligned with business goals.
Ideal Profile
* Proven experience in biotech/pharma procurement, ideally in R&D categories.
* Strong understanding of GxP and clinical development processes.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
* Available to start within 2-4 weeks.
