This role supports Toyota's Manufacturing Quality Department by ensuring European plants meet regulatory and production‑quality standards. You help maintain compliance frameworks, manage emission‑testing activities, liaise with approval authorities, and drive continuous improvement and digitalization projects to strengthen built‑in‑quality across Toyota's European manufacturing network.

Your team and your responsibilities
Team description
Quality Division, Manufacturing Quality Department is a dynamic team promoting the built-in-quality at our European Manufacturing Companies (EMCs) through:
* Auditing of manufacturing quality at EMCs based on our Quality Standards and ensure implementation of sustainable countermeasures.
* Define the framework to ensure Regulatory compliance and Conformity of Production of the EMCs, including frequent liaison with related Type-approval Authorities (TAA) in Europe.
* Enable sharing of knowledge on best practices among all EMCs as well as Overseas Affiliates.
* Advise, promote innovation and improve Manufacturing Quality Systems which enhance built-in-quality and minimise the risk for (critical) flow-out.
Your responsibilities
Conformity of Production (COP)
* Define and enhance the COP framework to ensure regulatory compliance for EMCs.
* Study new regulations and confirm/align the regulatory requirements with pan-EU standards.
* Negotiate with Type Approval Authorities (TAA) to align on compliance assurance.
In-Service Emission Conformity (ISC)
* Develop plans and coordinate execution of emission testing for in-service Toyota/Lexus vehicles in collaboration with TME R&D.
* Monitor and interpret rapidly evolving ISC legislation.
* Support market surveillance inquiries and prepare reports for TAA.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
* Identify and implement innovative ideas to advance the team's digital transformation journey.
* Lead projects applying Kaizen principles to optimize operations and enhance cross-divisional collaboration.
Your Profile
* You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
* Education: University degree or higher Education in Engineering.
* Working experience: 1 to 5 years of working experience, ideally in the Regulation related area.
* Genuine interest in vehicle manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
* Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Proficient in using Microsoft O365 office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook). Power BI is an asset.
* Accurate, diplomatic and transparent communicator with an eye for detail.
* Owner of a driving license for a passenger car, valid for EU.
* Willing to travel (up to 30%)
