The banking sector is a complex entity that requires effective supervision to ensure stability and robustness. This is where our team comes in, utilizing data-driven methodologies to assess the risks faced by banks.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for finance, risk management, and quantitative approaches to join our team as a Junior Data Analyst. As part of our Methodology and Reporting division, you will contribute to the enhancement of analytics capabilities through participation in projects such as the redevelopment of supervisory tools, development of new risk quantification tools, and implementation of new dashboards assessing data quality.
Responsibilities
* You will actively participate in several projects aimed at improving analytics capabilities, including:
* Re-development of existing supervisory tools to ensure ongoing supervision of banks and early detection of potential problems based on key risk indicators.
* Development of new risk quantification tools based on qualitative and quantitative data to facilitate the assessment of capital requirements in collaboration with the European Central Bank.
* Implementation of new dashboards assessing the data quality of supervisory reportings via synthetic indicators for comparison between banks and benchmarking based on existing IT databases.
Requirements
* A final year university student working towards a Bachelor or Master's degree in data science, business intelligence, or statistics/mathematics.
* Strong interest in finance, financial risk management, and quantitative approaches.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of VBA, SQL, or R programming language and Access and Power BI/Tableau tools would be an advantage.
* Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills, with critical thinking, attention to detail, and good organisational skills.
