Fette Compacting Belgium, located in Mechelen, is the innovation center of the group for the development of new technologies and machines for the pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities of the future.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:

Mechanical R&D Engineer

Function:

As a Mechanical R&D Engineer, you contribute significantly to the development of new pharmaceutical machines for the Fette Compacting portfolio. Working closely with the R&D teams in Process, Electric and Software Engineering at our Technological Center in Mechelen, your main tasks include the investigation in new technologies and the design of machines based on this research.

This specifically involves:

* Participation in brainstorm sessions to generate new ideas
* Mechanical design of concepts in 3D
* Perform calculations and simulations where required
* Detailing and specification from concept to manufacturing
* Assistance in the evaluation of prototypes

Comprehensive training modules for the relevant products and machines will be provided both in Fette Compacting Belgium and at the headquarters near Hamburg, Germany.

Profile:

* Experience in the mechanical design of machines
* Experience with a 3D CAD package, preferably Siemens NX
* Experience in reading process, pneumatical and electrical schematics is a plus
* Team player and passionate for working in an international team
* Hands-on mentality
* Problem-solving mindset and taking initiative
* Ability to plan and execute tasks independently
* Attention to detail
* Good knowledge of Dutch and English language

The employment location is at Fette Compacting Belgium in Mechelen. Permanent residence in

Belgium is therefore required for this job. Occasionally, travel to the Headquarters near Hamburg

may be required for training or project team meetings.
