We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a Trade Compliance Manager. This role involves ensuring that our European operations meet all legal requirements, including EU, UK, and local laws. You will be responsible for building, rolling out, and maintaining trade compliance policies and procedures, running regular checks and audits to identify any gaps, and providing advice and training on compliance to our colleagues.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop corrective actions.
* Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues on trade compliance matters.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and ensure our processes are aligned with the latest requirements.
* Collaborate with our head office team in Japan to ensure our European operations meet all legal requirements.
* Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and filing.
* Work closely with other departments, including customs, legal, finance, and operations, to address compliance issues and implement controls.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A degree in business, law, finance, or a related field (Master's preferred but not essential).
* Excellent knowledge of EU, UK, and local regulations.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* A proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs.
* Relevant certification, such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional.
* Experience working with multiple entity groups.
* Ability to communicate complex information concisely to senior management.
