Research Engineer – ALTEN Belgium
The position.
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Research Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels.
* Be part of a forward-thinking team contributing to the modernization of ADAS testing practices
* Improving capability, reducing costs, and addressing new development and quality challenges in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
* Set up a new-generation ADAS HiL system using state-of-the-art tools and hardware.
* Test and validate the HiL setup’s capabilities for functional evaluation of ADAS features.
* Generate virtual twins to simulate real-world driving scenarios for testing and validation.
* Define and apply methodologies to assess system performance across various metrics.
Your Profile
* Experience level: Medior (2–5 years)
* Solid experience with HiL systems; previous work on ADAS or automotive control systems is a strong plus
* Familiarity with Dspace toolchains is highly appreciated
* Experience working in agile development teams (3-week sprints)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on mindset
