About the Role
We are seeking an elite AI Solution Lead (Freelance) to join our client's Digital & Analytics team for a 12-month mission in Antwerp, Belgium. What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage innovative AI projects from ideation to production, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
* Act as a translator between business stakeholders and the Data Science team, making complex AI concepts accessible and actionable.
* Design and deploy domain-specific knowledge graphs as contextual input for GenAI applications in operational environments.
* Develop and operationalize custom enterprise-grade Generative AI assistants, integrated within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Teams.
* Drive end-to-end project delivery, with a focus on stakeholder management, process optimization, and measurable outcomes.
* Advise on and implement planning and optimization systems (Operations Research) across diverse client environments.
* Champion the operational rollout of computer vision use cases, including intelligent drone flight deployments.
* Continuously monitor AI technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation within the organization.
* Translate complex technical solutions into clear, business-focused narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as an Innovation Consultant, with a track record of delivering complex, holistic AI projects (minimum 5 years, senior level).
* Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying domain-specific knowledge graphs for GenAI in operational settings (minimum 2 years, medior level).
* Strong background as a business consultant in end-to-end AI project delivery, with intensive stakeholder management (minimum 5 years, senior level).
* Hands-on experience developing and deploying custom enterprise-grade Generative AI assistants within Microsoft Azure, integrated with Microsoft Teams (minimum 2 years, medior level).
* Higher education (Master's or Bachelor's degree) or equivalent experience.
* Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (mandatory).
* Ability to provide at least three successful references for the implementation of planning and optimization systems (Operations Research) for different clients.
* Experience in Process Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Continuous Improvement (preferred).
* Solid understanding of business processes and project management (preferred).
* Operational experience with computer vision use cases, especially for intelligent drone flight deployment (preferred).
* Knowledge of the nautical logistics chain of the Scheldt Ports and North Sea Port (preferred).
* Practical experience implementing generative AI for operational deployment of digital assistants (preferred).
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable business insights.
* Results-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Other Requirements
* This is a freelance position for a 12-month assignment, with the possibility of remote work.
* Assignment falls under the 2022–2027 Framework Agreement (Lot 3).
* Full-time commitment (100%, approximately 1600 hours).
* Quality and price are equally weighted in candidate selection (50%/50%).
