About Heisterkamp Trailer Rental Heisterkamp

Trailer Rental specializes in trailer rental across Europe. With a fleet of more than 8,000 trailers, we operate from our headquarters in the Netherlands and have additional locations in Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Romania, Denmark, and Spain.


Customers can choose between short-term rentals or long-term contracts (up to several years). All trailers are delivered according to the customer’s specifications and/or corporate identity. We provide a comprehensive full-service package, ensuring complete peace of mind for our clients.


Due to the continued growth of our operations in Spain, we are looking for an entrepreneurial professional to further develop our Spanish business in the role of:


Business Development Manager Spain


Your Challenge

Spain represents a key growth market within our European strategy. As Business Development Manager Spain, you will be responsible for accelerating our commercial growth and expanding our customer portfolio within the Spanish transport sector.


You will:

* Build and expand a strong, financially healthy customer portfolio in Spain
* Identify and capitalize on market opportunities
* Lead the full sales cycle: from acquisition to closing
* Develop long-term strategic plans for Spain
* Contribute to operational setup and organizational development


You report directly to the European Management Team based in the Netherlands and become part of an international, dynamic and entrepreneurial organization.


Role Responsibilities: Commercial, Financial & Strategic

* Develop and execute a strategy to grow market share in Spain;
* Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships;
* Actively approach and visit transport companies across Spain;
* Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities;
* Negotiate contracts and close deals;
* Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationships;
* Revenue and margin responsibility;
* Identifying emerging trends in transport/logistics
* Managing key accounts;
* Support cooperation between Spain and other European entities;
* KPI ownership (growth %, pipeline value, conversion rates)
* Maintain accurate CRM administration.


What do you bring?

* Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development within the transport or logistics industry;
* Proven commercial track record in achieving and exceeding targets;
* Strong entrepreneurial mindset and self-starting attitude;
* Experience with trailers and/or trucks is a strong advantage;
* Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution;
* Authentic leadership style with empathy, assertiveness and positive energy;
* Strong communication skills in Spanish and English;
* Willingness to travel extensively within Spain.
