What You'll Do
* Own the stability and performance of Oracle and Cassandra environments → Ensures critical operational systems remain continuously available
* Lead database tuning, optimization, and performance improvements → Direct impact on system responsiveness and reliability
* Manage lifecycle operations (patching, upgrades, health checks) → Reduces risk and prevents production incidents
* Design and implement improvements to database architecture → Enables scalability and future integration needs
* Automate operational tasks using Python and Shell scripting → Improves efficiency and reduces manual error
* Collaborate with system and application teams on integrations → Ensures databases support evolving business requirements
* Maintain secure and compliant environments (ISO27001 mindset) → Protects critical infrastructure and sensitive data
What you bring
* 6+ years managing Oracle databases in production environments
* Hands-on experience with Apache Cassandra (setup + operations)
* Strong experience with database performance tuning and optimization
* Solid Linux administration experience
* Scripting skills in Python and/or Shell
* Experience supporting business-critical systems (high availability required)
* Fluent Dutch and professional English
* Experience in OT / SCADA environments
* Exposure to security frameworks (ISO27001)
* Experience with release and change management processes
* Windows server experience
