Housekeeping Director
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional housekeeping services onboard a vessel, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality standards. This individual must possess excellent hospitality, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage the team and provide outstanding guest experiences.
Hiring Qualifications
* Five to seven years of experience in housekeeping management within an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred).
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures regarding public health standards.
* Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling and safety procedures, equipment use, personal protective equipment, and job safety analysis related to heavy equipment handling, garbage removal.
* Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet established time frames.
* Effective communication skills to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions with department heads, coworkers, and other crewmembers.
Language Requirements
* English proficiency: ability to speak clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests.
* English literacy: ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures.
* Speaking additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German is beneficial.
