Build, roll out, and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures so we're always in line with EU, UK, and local laws.
Be the go-to person for advice and training on compliance, helping everyone understand the rules and keep things above board.
Work closely with our head office team in Japan to making certain our European operations meet all legal requirements.
Team up with other departments, including customs, legal, finance, and operations to tackle compliance issues and put the appropriate controls in place.
Identify potential breaches of compliance and take the right steps to sort them out.
A degree in business, law, finance, or something similar (Master's preferred but not essential). Or Demonstrable experience in compliance (5 yrs), regulatory affairs, or a related field — ideally in Europe.
A proven track record of creating and leading compliance programs in Europe.
Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional).
Confident to report information concisely to senior management
