As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
As a process & piping Engineer within the project team, you will be responsible for the process and piping discipline and support several projects with your expertise
Designing the installation from concept, through basic engineering until detailed engineering and execution. Processing all input from stakeholders. Sometimes, you will also manage external engineering firms.
Conducting technical discussions with suppliers (preparing technical specifications, price inquiries, orders, and tracking deliveries).
Estimating costs and creating a schedule in consultation with the project manager, and monitoring these during execution.
Coordinating execution works and general site activities. Keeping and resolving a punch list until the project is fully completed.
Assisting during the start-up of the installation.
Ensuring that the scope, budget, and timing are maintained.
Requirements
Holds at least a bachelor's degree with a specialization in electromechanics or mechanical engineering.
Has strong knowledge of pumps, piping (both calculations and design), and thermodynamics.
Has strong knowledge of process engineering
Has several years of relevant work experience.
Can work with 2D or 3D drawing packages to design smaller installations themselves.
Has experience writing tenders
