Accounting & Tax Manager Role Overview
The Accounting & Tax Manager plays a pivotal role within the Finance team, driving financial reporting to the highest standards while ensuring robust controls and compliance. This key position encompasses stewardship of critical accounting processes (R2R & Payroll), facilitating tax reporting, audits, and statutory filings. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders is essential, including Elanco Business Solutions in Poland, internal Accounting and Finance teams, external auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
* Financial Reporting (R2R): Month-end close, monthly trial balance review, collaboration with EBS on US GAAP accounting and reporting, preparation and review of statutory accounts, primary relationship owner with external auditors, and provision of technical accounting and controls advice.
* Payroll: Controlling all payroll transactions in collaboration with EBS, ensuring correct vacation accruals.
* Tax: Local tax compliance activities management, responsible for managing relationships with tax authorities and tax advisors, maintaining a robust system of controls related to company taxation, and providing transfer pricing support.
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance and Accounting, possessing proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. They must be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, consultants, and tax authorities. Proficiency in Dutch and English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant, having experience in Multinational or Big4 Accounting Companies, knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency in SAP. The ability to manage local financial reporting and tax experience is also beneficial.
