Duties and Role:
Specific duties for this post:
* Perform service continuity improvement tasks on the NATO voice & VTC infrastructures;
* Support innovation efforts related to voice and video conferencing technology;
* Work with the project management team and provides technical support to projects to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure and services;
* Plan, test and carry out routine configuration and maintenance operations within the voice and VTC domains;
* Be prepared to support maintenance activities and infrastructure deployments during out of business hours;
* Coordinate and raise CRQs (change requests) and ASIs (authorised service interruptions) when needed;
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configuration baselines, engineering reports, network diagrams, etc.) and provide training for other team members on new technologies and features;
* Mentor and/or coach team members on new voice and VTC technologies or features;
* Investigate and propose long-term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems;
* Provide third level support to the operations team for both static and deployable voice and video conference infrastructures when needed;
* Deputize for higher-grade staff, if required.

Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
* The candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
* A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
* Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
* At least 2 years' experience designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing collaboration tools and platforms within a digital ecosystem of an organization.
* Experience deploying communication and collaboration software (such as video conferencing systems, team messaging applications, and document sharing platforms).
* Proven experience in the configuration and operation of Voice and VTC core systems and end devices.
* Proven experience in deployment and configuration of security features in the voice and VTC domains (TLS, PKI, IPSec, etc.).
* Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to resolving QoS and technical issues in complex IP networks.
* Excellent knowledge of SIP, H.323 and PSTN signalling protocols.
* Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies.
* Experience providing end users support.
* Certified ITIL Foundation
Education, Experience and Training (Desirable):
* Experience with collaboration solutions from major vendors like Cisco, Poly and Pexip.
* Qualification of Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration).
* Experience with monitoring platforms and protocols such as CASpectrum, nGenius One, SNMPv3, Syslog, etc.
* Scripting experience ideally in Python and experience using regular expressions.
* Experience with cloud-based collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex.
* Ability to navigate, influence and negotiate with all levels of the organization, business partners, customers and users.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to be concise in both written and verbal communications.
* Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
* Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation.
