Context : To strengthen our CMC Development Sciences group, our client is seeking an Analytical Scientist with strong experience in analytical development, process support and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analytical techniques. The position is based in the Characterization and Material Sciences department at our client's site in Brabant-Wallon, Belgium.
Your responsabalities :
* Contribute to end-to-end analytical development for our portfolio of small molecules, peptides and large biomolecules, from preclinical to launch and lifecycle management of marketed products.
* Ensure day-to-day NMR analysis.
* Perform release and stability testing of APIs, standards and clinical batches from Phase I to Phase III.
* Conduct release testing of raw materials, starting materials, degradation products and synthesis intermediates.
* Develop and validate fit-for-purpose analytical methods for APIs, Drug Products and In Process Control (IPC).
* Transfer analytical methods to CDMOs, QC and manufacturing units and participate in lifecycle management.
* Provide high-quality documentation for all technical work performed in the laboratory.
* Actively participate in project meetings and internal scientific meetings.
* Contribute to the implementation of new state-of-the-art analytical methodologies and process improvements, including bibliographic surveillance, technical scouting and evaluation of innovative methodologies.
Your profile :
* Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2–5 years of experience, or a recently graduated PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Analytical Chemistry) in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Autonomy and competence in analytical development. Knowledge of NMR in the polymers domain is desirable.
* Key skills :
* Expertise in NMR for characterization, quantification and structural identification of compounds.
* Experience in development and validation of analytical methods for polymers and/or small molecules.
* Knowledge of other characterization techniques (MS/IR/NIR, etc.) and data interpretation.
* Thorough understanding of regulatory, GMP and safety environments.
