We at Johnson & Johnson MedTech are searching for a talented Sales Manager – to join our Flanders Joints Team (Hip & Knee)
As Sales Manager for the Flanders Joints Team at Johnson&Johnson MedTech - DePuy Synthes, you lead a team of sales consultants responsible for hip and knee solutions across the region. Your main focus is to grow knee and hip implant sales, while also accelerating the adoption of the VELYS Robotic Assisted Knee Solution in close collaboration with surgeons and hospitals.
You combine strong people leadership with a hands-on commercial mindset and feel comfortable working in a Belgian healthcare and hospital environment.
In this role you will:
Lead & develop the team
• Lead, coach and support a team of sales consultants covering hip and knee in Flanders
• Set clear expectations, follow up on results and support individual development
• Create a positive, engaged team culture with open communication and accountability
• Guide the team through change in a pragmatic and supportive way
Drive sales performance
• Translate national strategy into clear, realistic sales plans for the Flanders region
• Take full ownership of regional performance for knee and hip implants
• Actively drive VELYS Knee and Hip Technology sales, placements and procedural growth
• Prioritise opportunities, allocate resources smartly and keep close track of progress
• Align closely with sales leadership on targets, quotas and incentive topics
Grow VELYS Knee and Hip in the market
• Be a key ambassador for robot-assisted knee surgery in Flanders
• Support your team in positioning VELYS Knee and Hip Technology solutions both clinically and economically
• Work closely with marketing, clinical and service teams to ensure smooth implementations and long-term success
Build strong customer relationships
• Maintain close, trust-based relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, OR teams and hospital management
• Support strategic accounts and help the team grow both new and existing customers
• Act as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Clinical & product expertise
• Bring strong knowledge of hip and knee procedures, products and workflows
• Support successful new product launches and continuous product education in the field
Operational excellence & compliance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, programs and local regulations
• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects such as planning, reporting, budgets and timelines
• Act proactively when risks or issues arise
Work cross-functionally
• Collaborate closely with marketing, finance, clinical and supply chain teams
• Navigate a matrix organisation with a balanced, solution-oriented mindset

Qualifications
• Strong MedTech sales experience and deep knowledge of the Sales function at a strategic level gained through 3+ years of progressive experience
• MedTech experience crucial, experience in Orthopaedics business preferred
• Strong business and financial acumen and strategic attitude
• Experience in leading complex commercial activities incl. multi stakeholder negotiations
• Awareness of local economic environment and dynamics of Belgian healthcare market
• Unquestioned ethics, integrity, and Credo-based leadership
• Strong organizational leadership, with ability to encourage and mobilize a large organization through periods of continuous change and transformation
• Ability to connect and effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
