About the role
As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the complete financial and statutory accounting cycle of the entities within your cluster. You will ensure compliance with both IFRS-based group policies and local statutory requirements, working in close collaboration with the Finance Team and under the supervision of the Financial Controller Belgium, Netherlands and France.
Your Impact asFinancial Controller
* Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for designated entities.
* Prepare, analyze and present financial reports and statements
* Manage specific activities (e.g. payroll) within the parent company to support the financial controller.
* Monitor and follow up costs in the related (smaller) entities.
* Ensure timely and accurate period-end closings and reporting up to the net result.
* Safeguard the accuracy of the accounts, set up the necessary accruals.
* Provide IT-related support for finance tools and systems.
* Prepare statutory accounts and tax filings, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Lead financial audits and liaise with external audito
About You
Essential skills & competencies
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, with at least 5 years of experience as a generalist accountant (knowledge of BE-GAAP and Belgian tax is essential; IFRS experience is an advantage)
* Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of balance sheets and P&L statements
* Proficiency in SAP FICO and Excel; knowledge of Excel VBA, AfO, and SharePoint is a plus (training can be provided)
* Familiarity with MS Office applications
* Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
* Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership within your area of expertise
* Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
