Your Work Context
Jan De Nul is a pioneer in building at sea. We install infrastructure for renewable energy, make transport by water possible, protect our coasts and build the most advanced ports.
Our dredging and offshore fleet is used for this, but also all kinds of floating auxiliary equipment. It is for the optimal deployment of this (floating) auxiliary equipment that we are looking for motivated colleagues.
Your Role
As water boss, you are responsible for the optimal deployment and use of the floating auxiliary equipment on our projects on the water. We are talking about pontoons, multicats, tugboats, pipelines, anchors,... You plan the necessary operations and oversee the activities on the water.Your main tasks are:
* Preparing pipeline operation
* Maintenance and inspection of box anchors and pipelines
* Keeping a logbook of the anchor positions
* Perform and supervise winch pontoon operations
* Stock management of spares
* Positioning of pontoons...
While performing your duties, you will be in contact with the dredge captain. You will report to the superintendent, works manager and/or project manager.
We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
* You are familiar with water work, pipelines, anchor operations, port traffic regulations, pontoons, multicats and tugboats
* You have a good knowledge of the English language
* You are a good communicator and a teamplayer
* You have good computer skills
* You are organizationally strong
