ICF is a leading provider of services for the European Commission and other EU agencies. This role is for a self‑starter who enjoys applying methodological and subject‑matter expertise to proposals and projects across a range of topics. /p h3What you will get to do /h3 pFrom day one you will contribute to projects for the European Commission and its agencies, supporting policy research and evaluation, data collection and analysis, interpretation of results and project management. You will work with a team of analysts and consultants in an international environment, receive training and development opportunities and help grow ICF’s work into new areas. /p h3Job description /h3 ul liThe Consultant will work primarily in humanitarian aid, civil protection and home affairs, analysing policy areas with strong analytical, writing and organisational skills. Quantitative data analysis skills are an asset. /li liThe role involves primary data collection through various research methods, reviewing and compiling secondary data and carrying out qualitative and quantitative data analysis for research and evaluation reports. /li liThe Consultant will coordinate and/or manage projects of moderate size. /li liThe Consultant will work on multiple projects concurrently, interacting with all levels of ICF staff and external stakeholders during workshops and events. /li /ul h3Main responsibilities /h3 ul liUndertake high‑quality research and data collection and analysis activities. /li liConduct qualitative and quantitative analysis (Excel essential). /li liSupport study design and delivery by drafting parts of inception deliverables (evaluation questions, intervention logics, theory of change, data collection and analysis plans). /li liArrange, conduct and facilitate interviews, surveys and focus groups. /li liDevelop, conduct and analyse case studies across thematic areas in humanitarian aid, civil protection or home affairs. /li liAssist with report‑writing and presentations. /li liContribute to the preparation of tenders and reports for the European Commission and other EU clients. /li liSupport online and, when required, in‑person client meetings and site visits. /li liCollaborate closely with other project teams, external partners and stakeholders. /li /ul h3Essential requirements /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in social science or a related discipline. /li liMore than four years of experience in public policy in humanitarian aid, civil protection or home affairs.
