Our client leader in technology is sector is looking to onboard Financial Analyst on contract basis for 18 months working hybrid in Waterloo location. Key Responsibilities:
1. Record and analyze employee-related expenses in the general ledger.
2. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and NetSuite to support financial processes.
3. Help identify and implement automation solutions for process improvement opportunities across the finance function.
4. Develop and use tools such as advanced Excel, Python, Java, RPA, Alteryx, and Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities and drive automation in current manual processes.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and acquiredpany finance teams to integrate processes and systems.
6. Support accounting and finance initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions.
7. Perform independent analysis and reporting as part of broader team initiatives.
8. Gain exposure to a wide array of finance, accounting, and system operations across the organization.
9. Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
11. 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis
12. Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite preferred)
13. Advanced Excel skills; VBA/macro experience
14. Experience with data analysis and automation tools (e.g., Python, Power BI, RPA)
15. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational abilities
16. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
17. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
18. Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
19. Works well both independently and collaboratively
