Freelance Data Scientist – Industry-Leading Financial Organisation (Hybrid, Brussels)
We're partnering with a market-leading financial institution in Belgium that's driving digital transformation through data and AI. They're now looking for a Freelance Data Scientist to strengthen their analytics capabilities and shape data-driven decision-making across the business.

What You'll Be Doing
* Build, test, and deploy machine learning models that deliver measurable business value across financial products and services.
* Work with structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, detect anomalies, and drive predictive insights.
* Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define analytical solutions and automate processes.
* Develop end-to-end data science workflows - from data preparation and feature engineering to deployment.
* Present results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, helping translate insights into action.
Tech Stack & Tools
You'll work in a modern analytics environment leveraging:
Python, R, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a strong advantage.
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years' experience as a Data Scientist.
* Solid background in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data storytelling.
* Proven experience working with financial data or within a financial services environment is highly desirable.
* Fluent in English, with French or Dutch preferred.
* Eligible to work in Belgium on a freelance/contract basis.
