Position
We are looking for a student to support the commissioning of the new Assembly Hall of our laboratories facilities. The student will participate in the implementation of the new laboratory infrastructure, of the new work procedures including preventive maintenance of equipment and will also assist with technical projects on a daily basis.
* Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
* Start date: As of June 2024
* Duration: 2 or 3 months
* Availability: 2 to 3 days per week, during office hours (Monday – Friday)
Tasks and Responsibilities
Support to the laboratory team for the commissioning of the new Integration hall:
* Participate to the installation of the workbenches (mechanical and electrical assembly), worktables, mobile drawers and wall-mounted equipment
* Implement of the safety instructions and information panels
* Label and optimize of the laboratory tools and equipment
* Support the implementation of new processes and methodologies in the laboratory.
In addition:
* Participate in the upkeep and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment
* Support for maintaining order and cleanliness of the laboratory equipment and technical areas
* Assist projects works (scientific and technical) and the preparation of specific tools.
Skills and Experience
* Currently following at Master level (or equivalent) a scientific, engineering, or technical degree
* Ability to work methodologically and autonomously
* An innate sense of organisation
* Speaking and writing proficiency in English at an intermediate level is required.
