Open Source Developer (Java | GIS | Cloud)

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Open Source Developer to design and build innovative applications where mapping, geolocation, and computing come together.
You will work in a collaborative team of analysts, architects, and developers, contributing to the development of high-performance, user-centric solutions and helping shape the future of geospatial platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks
* Contribute to software architecture design and evolution
* Ensure code quality, testing, and performance optimization
* Participate in all phases of development:
o Design
o Development
o Integration
o Optimization
* Solve complex technical challenges and stay updated on emerging technologies
Tech Stack
* Backend: Java, Spring Boot
* Frontend: React, Vue.js (or similar), HTML5, CSS3
* GIS & Mapping: OpenLayers, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
* Databases: Relational & NoSQL (JPA, Hibernate)
* Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure
* Other: Linux, Docker, NGINX/HTTPD, Microservices, REST APIs
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
* 3–5 years of experience in software development
* Strong proficiency in Java
* Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred)
* Experience or interest in GIS / geospatial technologies
Additional Skills
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Familiarity with microservices architecture and APIs
