About the Role
We're looking for a Dutch-speaking Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team working on cutting-edge solar and wind energy projects across Belgium. You’ll be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems within renewable installations, contributing directly to Belgium’s energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electrical systems for solar parks, wind turbines, and hybrid renewable energy solutions.
* Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable calculations, and protection studies.
* Ensure compliance with local grid codes, IEC standards, and project-specific safety requirements.
* Support installation, commissioning, and testing of renewable systems.
* Collaborate with civil, automation, and project engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and on-time delivery.
* Communicate effectively with local DSOs/TSOs and contractors in Dutch.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent.
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, or hybrid systems).
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design tools.
* Knowledge of MV/LV/HV systems, inverters, transformers, and protection coordination.
* Excellent command of Dutch (spoken and written); English is a plus.
* Strong analytical mindset, independence, and problem-solving skills.
