We are looking for a Global Logistics Suppliers Partnership Manager who is collaborative, strategic, and solutions-oriented to join our Global Logistics team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Global Logistics Network Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing and managing relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including transportation partners, 3PLs, 4PLs, warehouses, and brokers. Your mission: to ensure robust supplier performance, supply continuity, and best-in-class delivery of goods across global markets while aligning with UCB's evolving business needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Act as a key liaison between UCB and its global logistics providers to drive strong partnerships and ensure consistent performance.
* Lead Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews with key LSPs to assess KPIs, service quality, and cost performance. Identify gaps, escalate critical issues, and implement action plans.
* Support tendering, supplier onboarding, and vendor selection processes in close collaboration with Procurement and Quality.
* Proactively monitor supplier SLAs, anticipate supply chain risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity.
* Drive cross-functional coordination for logistics-related projects, including new product launches, ensuring efficient and compliant implementation.
* Partner with UCB's Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) to analyze trends and anticipate business needs.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives, capturing internal and external feedback to enhance service levels, productivity, and supplier capabilities.
* Conduct risk assessments and regular due diligence activities across the LSP network.
* Collaborate on strategic governance for LSPs and help standardize governance programs across the Global Logistics Network.
Who You Will Work With:
You'll operate cross-functionally with:
- Internal teams across Global Distribution, Supply Chain, Quality, and Procurement
- External partners including 3PLs, 4PLs, carriers, customs brokers, and industry vendors
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation (global scope preferred)
* 3+ years in the pharma, medical devices, or FMCG sectors
* Solid understanding of GDP compliance and distribution regulations
* Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS are a strong plus
* Fluent in English (French and other languages are a plus)
* Strong skills in stakeholder management, influencing, and conflict resolution
* Analytical mindset with a knack for KPIs, numbers, and performance metrics
* Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex global relationships
* High proficiency in SAP, TrackWise, and MS Office tools
* Agile, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a multicultural, matrixed environment
