YOUR ROLE?
An Administration Officer Operations supports forwarders and assistant forwarders in the execution of logistics assignments. He/she performs administrative tasks and processes documents and data in accordance with the prescribed procedures, instructions and applicable regulations.
An administration officer operations is responsible for:
* Providing administrative support to the department
* Acting as a backup in support tasks when colleagues are absent.
* Answering telephones, distributing mail and filing, distributing and sending documents during peak periods
* Checking incoming invoices
* Performing simple operational and administrative tasks
He/she must have sufficient social and communication skills when informing customers, agents, suppliers, etc.
Management is not applicable.
An administration officer operations has contact with:
* His/her manager, fellow forwarders and assistant forwarders about daily activities
* Customers during telephone conversations
* Suppliers for entering and checking invoices
* The accounting department regarding invoicing
* Customs for handling customs documents
* Other departments to ensure good cooperation and resolve any issues
Good knowledge of Dutch and English is mandatory.
