Context As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for the execution and on-site supervision of construction and refurbishment works in highly regulated life sciences environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, laboratory facilities).
Your role focuses on ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, on time, on quality, and in line with regulatory and operational constraints, while integrating sustainability requirements into the execution phase. You act as a key interface between engineering teams, contractors, site personnel, and internal stakeholders, and regularly report progress to senior management.
Tasks Supervise and coordinate construction works on site, ensuring compliance with design, specifications, and execution plans
Organize and monitor day-to-day site activities, including work sequencing, contractor coordination, and resource allocation
Track progress against schedule, budget, manpower, and risks, proposing corrective actions where needed
Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality, material conformity, and adherence to HSE requirements
Ensure construction activities respect life sciences regulatory constraints (GMP/GxP environments, cleanrooms, classified areas, controlled utilities)
Coordinate closely with engineering, maintenance, validation, and operations teams to ensure constructability and operational continuity
Support contract management by identifying deviations, claims, and technical issues impacting execution
Contribute to the implementation of sustainability measures during construction, including:
waste reduction and circular material use,
low carbon construction methods and site logistics,
alignment with environmental and ESG objectives
Participate in site meetings with contractors, suppliers, and third parties; prepare progress reporting for management
Ensure delivery of high-quality, operationally fit facilities, ready for commissioning and validation
Requirements Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within construction, site supervision, or project execution
Proven experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or other GxP‑regulated environments
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, technical trades, and multidisciplinary coordination
Solid understanding of GMP/GxP requirements, cleanroom construction, and classified-area constraints
Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and on‑site personnel in complex operational settings
Familiarity with HSE standards, risk assessments, and safe execution practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, execution plans, and technical specifications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedule, budget, resources, and change control
Proficiency with common digital tools (MS Project, Excel, construction management platforms)
French and English fluency required; any additional language is an asset depending on project location
