Freelance Azure Network Engineer - Long Term
We are seeking an experienced Azure Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure hybrid network environments spanning on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on advanced networking, firewall management, DNS architecture, and security best practices, including Zero Trust principles and Entra ID integration. You will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and support hybrid network architectures across on-premises and Azure environments.
* Manage core networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.
* Design and maintain Azure networking components such as VNets, subnets, NSGs, and VNet peering.
* Configure, manage, and optimise Azure Firewalls and FortiGate firewalls, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) capabilities.
* Implement and manage secure ingress and egress traffic flows.
* Support and configure Azure Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, and related load-balancing solutions.
* Design and manage secure connectivity using Azure VPN Gateway, site-to-site and point-to-site VPNs.
* Implement Private Link and private endpoints for secure service access.
* Architect and maintain Azure DNS, including Private DNS Zones and DNS Private Resolvers, alongside on-premises DNS integration.
