Project Delivery Lead – Digital Technology Team for Research & Early Development
We are looking for a Project Delivery Lead who is passionate about science and technology, and has a highly collaborative, innovative and curious mindset to join our Digital Technology team for Research & Early Development, based in Belgium (Braine l’Alleud and Brussels office).
About the role
You will be working in a team that leads the delivery of technology solutions supporting research & early development in life sciences. Based on a growing understanding of technology in the life sciences research context, and insight into IT architecture and IT delivery models, you will identify opportunities to add value, collaborate effectively across Digital Technology teams, streamline and future‑proof the research & early development data, code and computer infrastructure. You will proactively explore external and internal technology innovation opportunities, build business cases and pitch them confidently to relevant stakeholders in Patient Solutions.
What you’ll do
Lead technology projects from planning through execution and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Manage project scope, schedule, cost and stakeholders to deliver advanced technology solutions.
Communicate project status, risks and mitigation strategies to all stakeholders.
Inspire and guide project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Develop deep understanding and thought‑leadership on research laboratory systems, scientific experiment data acquisition, data integration, data analysis, and the emerging “in‑silico science” area.
Explore opportunities for innovation and build business cases with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent degree in a scientific or technology domain (e.g., bio‑engineer, biomedical sciences, pharmacy).
Initial exposure to project or program management of digital or technology solutions is a plus (internships welcome).
Basic understanding of research and development processes in the life sciences industry is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working or living in diverse international environments is a plus.
You will work with a multidisciplinary, international team within the Digital Technology team for Research & Early Development, collaborating with experts across research, digital technology and data governance.
