Position: The EHS Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of a consistent health, safety and environmental management program and total plant Security in order to meet the HSE & Security objectives that have been set and agreed upon across PepsiCo and all legal requirements.
The first priorities are to promote Safety and Environmental Awareness, to manage the control and minimisation of hazards in the day to day working environment across the plant and continuously update and ensure adherence to a fully detailed HSE and Security policy.
Responsibilities
You develop and implement the health, safety, environment and security policies for the plant and advice the local management team and ensure all legal requirements are met.
1. Lead and continuously improve the plant’s Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSE&S) strategy and culture
2. Ensure full compliance with legal, corporate, and ISO standards (ISO14001 / ISO50001 / GEHSMS)
3. Act as the key HSE&S advisor and main contact for internal and external stakeholders
4. Lead, coach, and develop the local HSE team and Safety Action Teams
5. Drive risk assessments, audits, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Own the HSE&S annual plan, budget, investments, and related reporting
7. Lead safety reviews, trainings, awareness programs, and incident prevention activities
8. Support plant projects with HSE expertise to ensure safe and efficient operations
9. Promote proactive safety, environmental awareness, and a strong continuous improvement mindset across the plant
10. Collaborate closely with authorities, external partners, and the wider HSE organization across the region
Maintains contacts with all parties involved within ( HSE Organisation WEOU) and outside the company ( governmental authorities, external training companies, etc.) in order to realise above-mentioned responsibilities
Qualifications
11. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
12. Prevention Advisor Level 1 certification required (Milieucoördinator A is a plus)
13. Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
14. Lean mindset with a passion for safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement
15. Team player with a proactive, hands-on, and flexible approach
16. Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantage
