As the Site Buyer in Antwerp, you will take ownership of the indirect spend demands for our production site. Your main goal is to ensure supply security by overseeing the procurement processes. You will be the link between technical requirements and our commercial goals, ensuring that our site operates efficiently, safely and on budget.
What You Will Do
* Strategic Procurement & Governance: Establish and optimize standardized, compliant procurement procedures and best practices.
* Spend Management: Optimize our company spending through needs analysis, tendering, and negotiations for large-scale projects to secure the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
* Supplier & Contractor Management: Build and maintain a reliable partner base through structured selection, evaluation, and risk management.
* Contract Lifecycle Management: Develop strategies for contract renewals, negotiate high-level terms, and monitor performance, specifically supporting Capex projects.
* Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop your direct report(s) to enhance the overall contribution of the department.
* Collaboration: Actively participate in the EMEA and global procurement networks to create synergies and share market intelligence.
Requirements
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, Engineering, or an equivalent relevant field.
Fluent in both Dutch and English.
Proficiency in procurement software such as SAP MM and COUPA.
General Experience:
Approximately 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role as a Procurement Leader or Lead Buyer for technical procurement.
Proven experience within an international industrial environment, such as the petrochemical, pharma, chemical, oil and gas industries.
Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Technical Skills:
In-depth expertise in technical procurement techniques, methods, and market trends. xphnsxz
Strong knowledge of engineered equipment, technical materials, and services.
Advanced skills in contract management and contracting law.
Solid understanding of P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) and S2S (Source-to-Settle) processes
