What you do
The automation engineer bridges the gap between the technical-operational and administrative (IT) processes of factory automation. The primary objective of the Automation Engineer is to ensure proper and continuous (with respect to the agreed SLA) operation of all critical automation systems by proactively monitoring and maintaining them and making sure that valid backup and recovery procedures are in place
1. Support day-to-day operation of automation systems across all plants in Moeskroen[BE].
2. Maintain contacts with vendors.
3. Advise and follow up automation projects
4. Document automation projects.
5. Establish maintenance and disaster recovery procedures that can be applied without specialized knowledge.
6. Test Disaster recovery scenarios.
7. Follow up maintenance cycles (upgrades).
8. Monitor performance of automation systems.
9. Strive for overall standardization and use of industry standard solutions.
10. Advise and assist interfacing projects with the administrative IT systems.
Who you are
11. Industrial Engineer or bachelor automation
12. Knowledge of PLC (Siemens S7,TIA...), SCADA (Aveva, Kepware)
13. Knowledge of Eplan, Aveva, Grafana is an asset
14. Knowledge of LAN-networking and industrial cyber security
15. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows server architecture & frontend
16. Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle, …).
17. Dutch, English, French are mandatory (Italian is an asset)
18. Problem solving, analytical, pragmatic hands-on approach.
