They are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance & Breakdown Technician to join their engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure optimal equipment performance by troubleshooting malfunctions, executing preventive maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting & Repairs: Respond swiftly and effectively to equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production processes. Preventive Maintenance: Independently perform routine and planned maintenance tasks to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment life. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, propose, and implement process and equipment optimizations. Technical Diagnostics: Utilize your expertise in PLC systems and motor controls to diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical issues. Safety & Compliance: Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance in line with industry regulations. Technical Reporting: Document interventions, maintenance actions, and equipment status to maintain a clear technical log. Team Collaboration: Support colleagues during shift cover periods and share technical knowledge to enhance overall team capability. Requirements: A degree in Electromechanics or equivalent technical experience. Previous experience in the chemicals or food manufacturing sector is highly desirable, or the willingness to undergo intensive on-site training. Strong knowledge of PLC systems, motor control, and automated equipment. Ability to work independently, with precision, and under time pressure. Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset toward process improvement. Resilience under pressure with a flexible and solution-oriented approach.
