We are looking for a Cloud Application Architect to support large-scale digital platforms for a major international public sector organisation in Brussels.
This role involves designing secure, scalable cloud-native applications and guiding engineering teams in delivering modern, high-performance solutions.
🚀 Responsibilities
* Architect cloud-native applications using Python frameworks
* Design secure REST APIs connecting multiple enterprise systems
* Build high-performance database architectures
* Implement containerised solutions with Docker & Kubernetes
* Define CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
* Provide architecture guidance and technical leadership
* Ensure security, compliance, and data protection standards
* Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders
🧠 Requirements
* Strong Python backend development experience
* Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
* Expertise in REST API design
* Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch
* Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Knowledge of secure coding and OWASP principles
* Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
⭐ Nice to Have
* Experience in large enterprise or public sector IT environments
* Familiarity with Agile development
* Knowledge of French
