Sourcing Excellence: Indirect Category Management Role
This key position within our procurement team is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of category strategies for a range of indirect goods & services categories, including transport, energy, fleet, IT, and interim.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills. They will lead the charge in championing our category management process, driving innovation in supplier relationships, and executing strategies that maximize leverage with suppliers while aligning with business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute commodity cover strategies, negotiate agreements, and manage risks effectively.
* Promote fair and ethical supplier relationships, minimize risk, and define strategies for effective vendor relationships.
* Align procurement objectives with organizational goals and understand how they contribute to business strategy.
* Drive savings, working capital improvements, and optimize profit margins through proactive analysis and collaboration with internal teams.
Requirements:
* You hold a Master's degree in Business/Economics or an equivalent qualification.
* You have demonstrated a successful track record with over 7 years of experience in procuring indirect goods & services.
* You are experienced in navigating an international environment and you possess a strong cultural awareness and a background in promoting diversity.
* You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, enabling seamless communication across borders.
* You are known for your ability to innovate and find creative solutions to business challenges.
* You can develop and share strategic business insights, translating them into actionable solutions.
