We are looking for a consultant with 1-3 years’ relevant professional experience to join our EU competition and digital policy team in Brussels.
The role entails advising clients on the implications of EU political and policy developments for their business, with a particular focus on EU competition policy and digital regulation. It will offer you the opportunity to work with some world’s largest companies in tech and beyond, across a range of issues including AI, platform regulation, tech sovereignty, merger control and others. By joining Flint’s team of EU policy experts, you will also have the opportunity to develop experience in a broader range of sectors including sustainability, energy & climate, transport, trade and healthcare.
You may currently be working in an EU institution, for a regulatory authority, for a public affairs or management consultancy, a multinational company or a think‑tank. In addition to proven knowledge of and experience in relevant digital policy issues, you understand the EU’s legislative process and the value of personal networks.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Working alongside a high‑performing team, you would be expected to:
* Deliver outstanding work for our clients: support in advising clients at a senior level on the impacts of political and regulatory change, and how they can manage these to secure the best outcomes for their business;
* Take responsibilities and ownership: conduct client and/or topic‑specific analysis and draft bespoke briefings; participate in and contribute to client meetings and internal account management meetings;
* Build client relationships: serve as day‑to‑day contact of the clients related to the execution of policy analysis, advocacy and communication campaigns;
* Contribute to teamwork: work closely with client team leads to continue to build a competitive, best‑in‑class EU affairs team and offering;
Skills and Experience:
* Track record demonstrating interest, knowledge and experience in EU competition and digital policy.
* Excellent analytical, quantitative, research and problem‑solving skills – ability to draw out the implications of complex evidence and analysis to give clear strategy and policy advice.
* Outstanding written communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear documents for internal and external audiences with varying degrees of expert knowledge.
* Outstanding oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to non‑specialists.
* Good project management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, plan and schedule complex tasks proactively – comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills – a flexible approach and the ability to work well across teams, both with internal colleagues and external clients.
* Fluent written and spoken English is required, knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
