About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic Procurement & Supplier Relationship professional to join a fast-paced, innovative team in Brussels. This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working across multiple categories and collaborating with both local and global suppliers. You will play a key role in driving value, improving supplier performance, and supporting business priorities across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Support strategy development and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver both quick wins and long-term innovation.
Manage relationships with key regional suppliers, maintaining direct contact with global supplier representatives.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives (RFI, RFQ, supplier negotiations) using digital sourcing tools.
Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers independently, balancing business objectives with legal and compliance requirements.
Drive supplier development programs to maximize value from key relationships.
Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders, understanding needs and providing proactive solutions.
Contribute early and actively to cross-functional projects.
Continuously improve supplier interactions and personal productivity.
Utilize market knowledge and data analysis to inform sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Achieve cost control and reduction targets, focusing on total cost of ownership.
Deliver ongoing savings while meeting business requirements.
Support ESG goals, including supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.
Your Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field (required).
MBA or advanced degree/certifications are a plus.
Proven experience in direct procurement or relevant experience in pharma/healthcare operations (quality, supply chain, finance) with a strong interest in procurement.
Solid understanding of contracting, legal, compliance, and commercial elements.
Strong communication and influencing skills at stakeholder level.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-speed environment and managing ambiguity.
Flexible and results-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Strong market knowledge, negotiation, supplier management, and project management skills.
Self-starter, action-oriented, and team player.
Fluent in English and Dutch.
