You are a senior system engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience designing, operating, and improving complex system environments. In this role, you take ownership of a large on-premise Elastic Stack platform, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Your role:
You translate functional and technical requirements into robust system designs and assess design trade-offs to make well-founded technical decisions.
You validate designs against requirements and support their deployment into production, ensuring everything works as intended.
You actively manage and optimize Linux-based server environments, with a strong focus on Elasticsearch, Elastic APM, and the broader Elastic Stack.
You use automation wherever possible and apply an automation-first mindset, leveraging Ansible to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
You monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability, and you proactively identify opportunities for optimization and technical evolution.
When incidents occur, you take the lead in complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
You contribute to continuous improvement by documenting systems and designs clearly and keeping technical documentation up to date.
You participate in an on-call rotation for the systems you are responsible for and are comfortable working in environments where availability and reliability are critical.
