Key Responsibilities:
1. Head of Financial Institutions with full responsibility for FI activities, and member of the WB Luxembourg management team.
2. Drive strategy centered on sales excellence and execution, staying ahead of competition as ING's FI market leader and spokesperson.
3. Address business challenges facing bank's clients in Luxembourg, translating knowledge into smart business decisions and robust sales process to deepen client relationships and increase market share and wallet penetration.
4. Lead a team of 10 salespeople, product managers, and account managers, prioritizing commercialization, retaining talent, and developing future leaders.
5. Develop and execute sales strategies to deliver best-in-class local and international Cash Management, Trade, and Depository Solutions (Custody) to achieve/exceed targets.
6. Manage the sales pipeline process through effective sales management, including strategy planning, opportunity identification, process qualification, client engagement, building solutions and presentations to clients, negotiation, and closure of deals to maximize revenue and profitability.
7. Instil a strong commercial approach to the business, including managing key client responsibilities.
8. Generate impact, engender trust and loyalty in cross-functional initiatives, and demonstrate a confident, engaging, transparent interpersonal style complemented by strong conflict resolution and persuasion skills.
9. Design tailor-made solutions aligned to global products to widen local offerings to clients.
10. Lead market research and intelligence gathering on macro and micro-economic conditions in Luxembourg, and track industry trends against current capabilities and offerings to develop new products.
11. Monitor and understand customer needs, market, and economic trends as well as business opportunities and threats, defining the strategy and competitive positioning for FI Luxembourg.
12. Innovate and drive the business forward, capitalizing on new opportunities.
13. Participate in external industry committees to understand trends and define industry requirements.
14. Realize the full potential of the sales team with a focus on market-leading competencies for global solution delivery.
15. Contribute to strategic development, identifying capabilities required to maintain market leadership.
16. Ensure full observance of compliance and regulatory requirements and guidelines.
17. Operate the business with an acceptable risk tolerance and adhere to regulatory parameters.
