As a Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of dataset products that form the backbone of our company's data ecosystem. These foundational datasets power a wide range of use cases, from customer insights and AI applications to internal applications and external data partnerships. Your role is to shape the vision, strategy, and evolution of these products, ensuring they are trusted, fit-for-purpose, and widely adopted across the organization.
About the Role
As a data product owner, you will lead a cross-functional team of Data Product Managers, Analytics Engineers, and Tech Leads and work closely with offshore teams to deliver value at scale.
You will align their efforts to deliver reusable, high-quality datasets that delight our users. Your strenght lies in your ability to connect business needs with data capabilities, manage stakeholders at all levels, and drive adoption of data products through vision, collaboration, and communication. Affinity and interest in the analytical & technical underpinnings of big data and BI are a plus.
Your tasks as Product Owner
* Product Ownership & strategy:
* Set the strategic direction for dataset products, ensuring they evolve in line with business priorities and emerging opportunities.
* Own a portfolio of dataset products, guiding Data Product Managers and supporting them in execution and alignment.
* Delivery & execution
* Ensure consistent delivery across multiple teams, including offshore development teams.
* Monitor delivery metrics, data quality, and adoption to continuously improve outcomes.
* Promote cross-team collaboration, ensuring dataset products are broadly usable and can support multiple use cases across teams and departments.
* Team leadership & stakeholder management
* Lead your team towards delivery excellence by promoting collaboration, excellence and individual coaching.
* Act as a central point of contact for internal data consumers and ensure their needs are understood and addressed through fit-for-purpose data products.
* Drive adoption and awareness of dataset products through active stakeholder engagement, internal marketing, and value communication.
* Manage expectations & communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
