As a Category Manager, your responsibilities are:
* Developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business goals
* Managing supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value
* Leading, supporting development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide the segment with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support procurement initiatives
* Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers
* Monitoring and managing category performance metrics
* Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
* Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures
A successful Category Manager should have:
* A strong background in Procurement & Supply Chain management
* Experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
* Proven skills in category management and supplier negotiation
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* A results-driven approach with attention to detail
* A willingness to travel 25% of the time, mainly in Europe
