Capgemini Engineering is a global leader in engineering services. We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer to join a leading telecommunications client based in Fundão. The selected professional will work on critical enterprise systems, supporting business operations through the development, optimization, and maintenance of complex database solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, solid analytical skills, and an ability to work in international, multicultural environments.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and scripts.
* Analyze and improve database performance, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
* Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across large-scale systems.
* Collaborate with functional analysts, application developers, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Support and maintain mission‑critical applications in a telecom environment.
* Participate in incident analysis, bug fixing, and root cause investigations.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation.
* Contribute to code reviews and promote best practices in database development.
* Ensure compliance with security, quality, and data governance standards.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* 6+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer.
* Strong expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
Proven Experience With
* Complex SQL queries and performance tuning.
* Stored procedures, packages, triggers, and views.
* Data modeling and relational databases.
* Experience working with large‑scale or high‑availability systems, preferably in telecom or similar enterprise environments.
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Knowledge of batch processing, data migration, and integration processes is a plus.
Other Requirements
* Hybrid model (2 times per week in the office).
* English communication skills are mandatory.
* French B2 level.
