West & East Flanders
Job content
In both provinces you represent the commercial interests of one of the key divisions of the company. These are your main responsibilities:
- You maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with your portfolio of clients, who are active in different areas of the construction industry. In parallel, you make your portfolio grow through new business development.
- With all your clients, whether the account is large or small, you establish personal contact and strive to deliver an excellent level of service, based on trust and reliability.
- Together with the Sales Manager Belgium of your division, you define a yearly sales plan, depending on volume and price. Based on this plan, you take the lead in presenting technical sales offers to the clients.
- You bear full financial responsibility for the orders placed by your clients: margin, profitability, risk management, invoicing, payment follow-up...
- You work in close collaboration with the Plant Managers of your division to define the production capacity and the volumes that can be delivered to the clients.
- As supply chain is key in this industry, you facilitate the cooperation between your clients and the logistics team of your company.
- You are actively involved in networking and keep a permanent eye on the evolution of your market: circular economy, mergers & acquisitions, legislation, environmental permitting, supply chain. Thus, you identify new business opportunities and tenders for large construction projects.
- In terms of client follow-up and forecasting, you work on a daily basis with Salesforce.
Your profile
- You hold an academic degree or equivalent by experience.
- You have several years of technical sales experience in industries such as building materials, minerals, chemicals or plastics.
- You have experience in both account management and new business development.
- You are a networker by heart and enjoy developing long-lasting relationships with different stakeholders: clients, suppliers, production, quality, R&D...
- You enjoy working in a company in permanent evolution and with high ambitions, both on global and local level.
- Dynamism, optimism, open communication, service-mindedness: these are features that you identify with.
- You appreciate working in an autonomous way and are very flexible when it comes to visiting clients in your area.
- You are fluent in Flemish. Professional proficiency in French is an asset.
