The unique feature of this function is its combination of classic financial responsibilities and a strategic dimension. Through Corporate Finance projects you will be directly involved in SNCB’s future perspectives. You will lead a motivated, well‑structured team of 35 professionals and navigate the exciting challenges of liberalisation and financial targets.
Quel est votre rôle à la SNCB?
Accounting & Reporting: ultimate responsibility for SNCB and subsidiaries accounting (IFRS & BeGaap), oversee legal financial reports and reporting to governing bodies, cooperate with Head of Controlling, liaison with audit committee, transaction accounting via Finance Shared Service Center.
Tax: full responsibility for corporate tax, VAT, etc. of the group.
Corporate Finance: significant contribution to strategic projects, advising management on financial implications of projects (entity valuation, investment analysis, contract assessment), collaborate closely with legal team.
Staff Management: coach and motivate the 35‑person team, ensure continuous skill development.

Master in economics or finance, specialization in tax is a major plus.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, ideally 5 years in Big 4 and experience as finance chief in a large commercial enterprise with production activities.
Experience in Corporate Finance (due diligence, valuations) is a plus.
Deep knowledge of IFRS and BeGaap, plus strong tax knowledge.
Fluent in one Belgian language, capable of written and oral communication in the other; English a plus.
Leadership qualities, strong communication, resilience to stress.
