The role
We're hiring a hands-on
Software Engineer
to build and scale the software behind SAM OnSite and our broader AI platform. You'll work closely with the founders and take ownership of services and features that go live in the field. This is an individual-contributor role with clear progression to
Technical Lead
as we grow.

What you'll do
* Design, build and ship production services in
.NET/C#
with a focus on reliability, performance and clean code.
* Integrate AI capabilities (speech-to-text, NLU, retrieval/RAG, LLM orchestration and guardrails) to power voice-first workflows.
* Run secure, observable deployments on
Azure
(e.g. App Service/AKS or Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Identity, API gateways).
* Set and evolve engineering practices: CI/CD, automated tests, code reviews, infrastructure-as-code.
* Turn field feedback into pragmatic, shippable increments.
* Own components end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment and monitoring.
* Prepare for scale: sensible failure modes, logging/metrics, and cost awareness.
What you'll bring
Core
* Solid programming skills in
.NET/C# / Python
with a working grasp of
HTML / JavaScript
for basic front-end interactions.
* Experience deploying to
Azure
(through production work, internships or substantial personal projects).
* Interest in
Agentic AI systems
: you've integrated APIs (e.g. Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, speech), built a small retrieval demo, or explored orchestration frameworks like
Semantic Kernel
,
LangChain
, or
AutoGen
.
* Curiosity, clear communication and a habit of finishing things to a high standard.
* Comfort working in a focused, low-ego environment.
Helpful
* Experience with
basic CI/CD
(GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) and automated testing.
* Familiarity with
Azure services
such as App Service, Functions, Storage, or containerized deployments.
* Understanding of how
AI services
(speech, NLU, retrieval, orchestration) connect to real-world products.
* Some exposure to
front-end or event-driven
workflows (HTML/JavaScript, web APIs, or mobile).
* Awareness of
monitoring and security fundamentals

* Curiosity about
mission-critical environments
like security, field operations, or logistics.
* Working-level English.

Your first 6–12 months
* Ship improvements that make voice reporting feel fast, accurate and reliable on site.
* Establish a clean release pipeline with meaningful tests and basic SLOs.
* Shape our Azure footprint for stability, security and sensible costs.
* Take ownership of one or two core services and become the go-to person for them.
