Package Owner / Lead Engineer – Cleanroom / Finishes

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Package Owner (Cleanroom/Finishes) to join a major pharmaceutical construction project in Geel, Belgium. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a high-value, technically complex facility delivering critical cleanroom environments to the highest regulatory standards.
You’ll be part of a dynamic, international project team delivering cutting-edge biopharmaceutical infrastructure, working at the forefront of innovation in regulated construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of cleanroom and finishes packages from design development through to commissioning and qualification
* Coordinate cleanroom design, including HVAC integration, contamination control systems, and specialised finishes in line with EU GMP requirements
* Manage contractors, ensuring quality, performance, and compliance across all construction activities
* Oversee installation of cleanroom systems such as wall/ceiling systems, flooring, air filtration, and contamination control equipment
* Ensure adherence to Belgian building regulations, EU pharmaceutical standards, and international cleanroom classifications
* Work closely with validation teams to support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification processes
* Manage budgets, schedules, and change control processes for the package
* Facilitate design reviews, technical approvals, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings
* Oversee commissioning activities including airflow testing, particle counting, and performance verification
About You
* Strong experience delivering cleanroom construction projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar regulated environments
* In-depth knowledge of EU GMP standards, cleanroom classifications, and contamination control principles
* Familiarity with facility qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ)Understanding of HVAC integration within controlled environment
* Proven ability to manage large-scale technical packages (€20M+) with multiple stakeholders
* Strong communication skills, with English essential (Dutch and/or French advantageous)
* Degree-qualified in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)
